Coffee is not just a drink, it’s a culture and foundation for the community around you & this is just what we set out to create when developing our Roastery and coastal cafe. Infamous for our distinct Criminal taste in all of our brews, our roastery right here on site is as local & fresh as it gets. Our main house blend beans are sourced from some of the best spots in Brazil and Colombia and make up our iconic Gamechanger blend. Monthly rotations of our Single Origins allow us to continuously inspire both yours and our palettes. Our in-house roaster has a nack for fusing the Criminal way with new & innovative roasting practices to continuously deliver a refined sensory experience.
Every bean that enters Criminal is tried and tested by our staff before being passed onto you to ensure every cup of Criminal coffee is the quality you know and love.
Our founder Rachel is inspired by the incredible community of people on the Coast. Her passion is fostering others to follow and create their own and Criminal is just this space. A space where people can be free to bring their own personality, be surrounded by other likeminded people and feel inspired to create their own visions.
“I believe that the space you create feeds your energy and attracts the people around you. An atmosphere with warmth and hospitality instantly makes people feel seen and welcomed & this is something I think that Criminal has become known for” says Rach.
We believe that a good cafe has a recognisable atmosphere, warm service of course good coffee. Our menu is inspired by the relaxed lifestyle of the coast, but elevated in a way that cannot be replicated at home or anywhere else. Our gourmet toasties are a classic done well, because let’s be real; you can get bacon and eggs anywhere. A craving-satisfying menu means there’s always an excuse to get out, grab the crew and go for a long catch up with no pressure to move on.
